Input and metering boxes are designed for receiving, distributing and metering electric energy with a voltage of 380/220V, three-phase alternating current, frequency of 50Hz, with a TN-S, TN-CS grounding system, as well as for protecting lines during overloads and short circuits.

Climate version UHL4 according to GOST 15150-69.

Design:

The boxes are welded metal structures with protection rating IP31 or IP54, in which a mounting panel with equipment is installed. Depending on the rated current or customer's wishes, the boxes can be either wall-mounted or floor-standing (IP00 - from the bottom).
The boxes are classified by the rated current of the input device. Input to the boxes is from below or, at the customer's request, from above. The boxes are attached to the base, depending on the design, through openings in the rear wall, using external mounting paws, through openings in the lower part of the box.
There are two design options for  the boxes  - floor-mounted or wall-mounted. The body of the  YAVU box  is made in the form of a metal cabinet with a door, electrical equipment is mounted inside the cabinet. The cabinet busbar is represented by two buses - a neutral working busbar N and a neutral protective busbar PE.
The cabinet shall contain (have) an electric energy meter(s), an input circuit breaker (switch), current transformers if necessary, and outgoing line protection devices. The input device shall be controlled with the door open.
The elements of the functional block built on the basis of the switching device shall be:
 • a mounting board on which the device is mounted;
 • a front panel which serves to prevent direct open access to the units under voltage.
According to the installation method, YAVU cabinets are manufactured only as floor-standing versions. The design of the cabinet makes it possible to perform the input and output of the supply and outgoing power lines both from below and from above. The surfaces of the cabinet body shall be treated by cataphoresis with the addition of a layer of thermosetting epoxy-polyester powder paint, color: white RAL 9001.
In order to ensure optimal safety for the service personnel and the reliability of the installation, taking into account the operating characteristics of the switching devices, all functional blocks and design elements have been calculated and tested.

Scope and conditions of application:

The scope of application of the YAVU boxes is public, communal and household industrial and other energy supply facilities.
The device is intended for operation in the following conditions:
 - Ambient air temperature from +1 to +400 C
 - Altitude above sea level no more than 2000 m
 - Non-explosive environment, not containing aggressive gases or vapors that destroy metals and insulation
 - Degree of protection IP31, P54 according to GOST 14254-96
